"An Aquatic Destiny (Mother Knows Best)"
A proper use of diction can turn a fact to fiction or fiction to fact
So it get’s harder to decipher legitimates from liars when the language is stacked
And without any protection the sweetest of confections can become bittersweet
So I’m standing in my crow’s-nest waiting on a life vest that will make my vessel complete
And it isn’t just the ocean’s lure that is pulling me away to sea
But with my currency of hopes and dreams
I know that mother knows best for me
Yeah, I know mother knows best for me
Like the weariest of toddlers I stuck to shallow waters and held myself in contempt
Until I finally jumped in and taught myself to swim and succeeded in my attempts
But I have gone as far as I can sail, I won’t make it individually
And though the sea is wide I have my guide
‘Cause I know mother knows best for me
Yeah, I know mother knows best for me
‘Cause an aquatic destiny awaits, it’s the life that I was meant to lead
But no matter where I roam I’ll come back home
‘Cause I know mother knows best for me
Yeah, I know mother knows best for me
